4 Factors Influencing Your Auto Insurance Rates

  1. Age

    • Teenagers pay higher rates because they are new and inexperienced drivers. and therefore, much more likely to be involved in an accident due to their inexperience. Premiums go down if more than 3 years pass without incident.
  2. Sex

    • Men are perceived to be worse drivers than women, because the assumption is that women are slower to anger and more likely to drive with caution. These stereotypes are being proven incorrect often, however, women are more likely than men to receive lower premiums.
  3. Tickets & Driving Violations

    • Even one ticket can have a large impact on your insurance rates. Driving violations, such as those stemming from running red lights, parking violations and speeding tickets can have an enormously negative impact on your monthly auto insurance rates. Driving violations also stay on your driving record for years!
  4. Vehicle

    • The more expensive your vehicle is, the higher your auto insurance rate will be. Certain colors of vehicle, while more attractive, also carry a higher monthly insurance premium.

Remember to research your options when searching for an affordable auto insurance plan!
